Fishing Report
Recently stocked rainbow trout are responding well to a wide variety of baits, lures and flies. Meal worms, nightcrawlers and rainbow-colored PowerBait are commonly filling the three-fish limit. Rooster Tails and other spinners fool trout and an occasional bass during afternoon hours, while Hare’s Ear and Prince nymphs continue to be productive fly patterns.

Pertinent Information
The following information is general, not specific, as some waters only get trout. Please check specific body of water to see stocking information. Water quality is generally good with spring flows helping to keep summer temperatures cooler. The primary game fish are rainbow trout and channel catfish, which are stocked seasonally. Other species include bluegill, green sunfish, crappie, and largemouth bass throughout city ponds. These latter species are not regularly stocked, but fish habitat placed in the pond provides cover for reproduction and recruitment. Small spinners, Power Bait, salmon eggs, and flies are effective for rainbow trout. Use spinner baits and rubber worms to catch largemouth bass. There is no overnight camping, but there are improved day use areas with restrooms, shade shelters, picnic tables, and barbecues. No fish parts are to be used or put into any community ponds.
