Beginning with the 2025–2026 season, waterfowl hunters at Overton Wildlife Management Area will use a new digital reservation platform powered by Tyler Technologies. The E-Scheduler system will allow hunters to reserve or cancel their blind reservations online. While reservations must still be made in advance, the system is designed to streamline the process and offers a faster, easier experience for hunters. Hunters may select from general blind options (e.g., bulrush, pond, field), and NDOW staff will assign specific blinds onsite at check-in.

Important Dates:
– Youth Hunt: Oct. 18 (reservations open Oct. 13)
– General Season: Oct. 28 (reservations open Oct. 20)
– Final Youth Days: Feb. 7–8 (reservations open Feb. 2)
– No double-booking allowed – only one active reservation per hunter *exception is the two final youth days*
-Reservations close at 5 p.m. the day before; cancellations must be made by Midnight

How to Reserve a Waterfowl Blind at Overton WMA
Follow these simple steps to reserve your hunt through NDOW’s new online reservation system:
Step 1: Make Sure You’re Eligible
Any person 12 or older must have an active hunting license in possession to participate in the hunt. Anyone 16 or older is also required to have a Federal eDuck Stamp.
Step 2: Visit the Reservation Website
Create an account on the reservation website here: https://ndow-web.recreation-management.tylerapp.com/ndowweb/
Step 3: Select Your Hunt Date
Use the calendar tool to find your desired date. Reservations open the Monday prior to the start of the season.
Step 4: Choose Your Blind Type
Select your preferred blind type (Bulrush, Pond, or Field). Specific blinds are assigned by NDOW staff at check-in.
Step 5: Enter Your Information
Fill out your personal and contact details accurately. Lead Hunters may only hold ONE active reservation at a time. Other hunters in the party may call in to reserve for another day.
Step 6: Acknowledge the Terms
Carefully read and agree to the terms and conditions. Confirm all information is correct before submitting.
Step 7: Submit Your Reservation
Once submitted, you’ll receive a confirmation email. Bring this with you (printed or digital copy) to check-in.
Step 8: Download Helpful Resources (Optional)
Blind maps, ADA blind details, sunset charts, and policy sheets are available to download.
Step 9: Show Up and Check In
Arrive at Overton WMA 1.5-2 hours before legal shooting time, after that the Overton Crew give those spots to standby hunters. Refer to the Sunset Chart for accurate check-in time arrival. Present your confirmation to NDOW staff to be assigned your blind.
